Architect & Location

HTK Architects
Olpe, Kansas

The building covers an area of 6,670 square feet and comprises a single story. It includes a main hall that has a seating capacity of 96 people. Five study rooms can accommodate 9 to 10 people, two study rooms can hold 15 to 30 people, a quilt/study room, restrooms, a kitchen, storage space, a parish administration office, and a pastor's office. The main hall has a peaked roof with exposed wooden beams and a finished concrete floor.

The entrance of the St. Joseph's Parish Life Center is unique. The stone arch surrounding the doors comes from the original school, built over 100 years ago in 1921. This stone was preserved and restored to be incorporated into the new building. The entrance, which many parishioners walked through on their way to class, is familiar to generations of the congregation.
