Community House was originally constructed in 1917 as a place for World War I soldiers to take refuge when they returned home.

The Community House is currently used as a multi-functional space. It houses eight residential apartments and ten commercial office spaces. The original brick fireplace was preserved and is in excellent working condition. The exterior received upgrades to improve efficiency in protecting against the elements while keeping the original design integrity in tact.
A true Community House, the building has been the home to many throughout history. It has functioned as an American Legion post, served as the headquarters for the Chamber of Commerce, provided sanctuary for soldiers during both world wars, and prior to the recent renovation, operated as a recreational hub for the city.
